If it holds water, then it’s time to start cleaning. Using a stiff kitchen brush, scrub the filter with a bit of laundry detergent and hot water.
This hack will not only keep your blades sharp, but it will also give your garbage disposal a refreshing scent. Pop water and lemon slices in an ice tray and leave them to freeze. Once frozen, drop the fruity ice cubes in and switch your disposal on.
